SHDSL modem utilises compact 30W DC-DC converter

CCG

SHDSL (Single-Pair High-Speed Digital Subscriber Line) systems are often used in mission-critical applications. They allow the user to monitor and control industrial applications in energy transmission, railways, or water pipelines. Data can be transmitted faster than traditional voiceband modems using copper telephone lines.

The manufacturer of a new transmission system required a 30W DC-DC converter to step down either a 24V or 48V input to provide a regulated 5V at 6A. After a conversation with their TDK-Lambda expert, the CCG30-48-05S DC-DC power supply was selected.

The CCG series of 15 and 30W rated DC-DC converters has a wide range of inputs from 9 to 36V or 18 to 76V. This allows one model number to support either a 12/24V or 24/48V system voltage. Its compact 25.4×25.4mm size and a -40 to 85°C operating temperature range were also valued by the customer.

TDK-Lambda offers a wide range of PCB mount DC-DC power modules, click here for more information.
