Five additional output voltage models expand the CUS250M 250W AC-DC 2 x 4” power supplies series
Packaged in the industry standard 2” x 4” footprint, the CUS250M series is certified to the medical IEC 60601-1 and industrial IEC 62368-1 safety standards. The versatile family of products now offers a choice of seven output voltages: 12, 15, 18, 24, 28, 36, and 48V, as well as four mechanical configurations — open frame, U-channel, enclosed, or integral fan. Other options include a 5V standby voltage, remote on/off, DC OK, and AC Fail signals.
To provide further flexibility, the 250W output power can be achieved using convection and conduction cooling in ambient temperatures of up to 50°C, equating to a high power density of 20 watts per cubic inch. With derating, operation in up to 80°C temperatures is possible.
System compliance with EMI standards is made easier as the CUS250M series meets Class B radiated and conducted EMI with generous margins. The product’s very low leakage currents of less than 150µA and touch currents of less than 10µA in a Class I installation (70µA for Class II) assist system designers in meeting stringent medical leakage requirements.
Applications for the CUS250M models include products that require low audible noise, such as ultrasound, therapy, diagnostic, industrial, laboratory, professional audio, electronic displays, and test and measurement equipment.
