Marine information security systems utilise 3.4kW programmable power systems
Secure communication systems are required in a large number of applications, including maritime vessels. Cryptography, a computer science, ensures that confidential electronic messages can be sent and only the intended recipient can read them.
A ship communication research centre requiring rack mount programmable power supplies capable of providing an output voltage of 0 to 150V contacted their local TDK-Lambda salesperson. The GENESYS+™ power supplies were suggested with a number of power levels ranging from 1kW to 7.5kW. All the models share a common 1U height and can fit into a 19-inch wide cabinet. The G150-22.5-3P400 3.4kW model was designed in for use in a number of systems.
All the models in the five-year warranty GENESYS+™ series share common programming functions, with built-in LAN, USB, remote isolated analogue and RS-232/RS-485 interfaces for remote operation. Waveforms can be created and stored for later use in the internal memory.
