LED lights for vehicle safety testing use AC-DC power modules
In vehicle crash testing facilities, LED lights provide illumination during the test as they can strobe up to 25,000 times a second and support synchronised camera shutter requirements. This lighting system is essential for the high-resolution video recordings engineers need to evaluate the test effectively.
Designers of vehicle test systems looking to develop a new lighting system wanted a low-profile fanless 48V 1000W power supply. Their local TDK-Lambda office explained the benefits of using an AC/DC power module, and the PFE1000FA-48T was provided along with technical support.
The PFE and PFH AC-DC power modules are baseplate cooled for either conduction or convection cooling with temperatures from -40°C up to +100°C. Measuring just 12.7mm high, low-profile designs can be created to suit the system enclosure, and modules can be paralleled for higher power.
TDK-Lambda offers a wide range of board-mount AC-DC power supplies, click here for more information.
