Requiring a 15W 12V output for a motorised window shutter project, designers chose TDK-Lambda’s KPSA15-12 for its specification and cost-effectiveness. 

The KPSA series utilises pins for both mounting and electrical connections, rather than push-on connectors and a cable assembly. This saved labour, material costs and allowed the power supply to be mounted close to the control circuitry for improved load regulation. The KPSA’s Class II double insulated design negated the need for a ground earth connection, simplifying installation.
