The 250W rated AC-DC power supplies are packaged in the industry standard 2” x 4” footprint and can operate with conduction, convection or forced air cooling. With efficiencies of up to 94%, less heat is dissipated internally, enabling a high power density of 20 watts per cubic inch. The series is certified to the medical IEC 60601-1 and industrial IEC 62368-1 safety standards.
The CUS250M meets Class B radiated and conducted EMI with generous margins to assist the end system compliance greatly. Very low leakage currents of less than 150µA and touch currents of less than 10µA in a Class I installation or 70µA for Class II assist designers in meeting stringent medical conditions.
The products are available in four mechanical configurations – open frame, U-channel, enclosed or integral fan – providing greater flexibility for mounting and cooling the units. Output voltages of 12V and 24V are available now, with 15, 18, 28, 36 and 48V models coming in 2023. A 5V standby voltage, remote on/off, and signals are optional.
250W output power can be achieved using a combination of convection and conduction cooling in ambient temperatures of up to 50°C. With derating, operation in up to 80°C temperatures is possible.
Applications for the CUS250M include medical, ultrasound, therapy, diagnostic, industrial, laboratory, professional audio, electronic displays and test and measurement equipment.
