A TDK-Lambda distributor received an inquiry from a manufacturer developing an industrial IoT device for a predictive maintenance application. The distributor contacted their local TDK-Lambda office for a suitable 24V 40W power supply. Ideally the supply had to be encapsulated for protection against dust and airborne particles, and also capable of being placed on a pcb to reduce assembly times.  The potted, board-mount Class II double insulated KMS40-24 was offered and accepted by the distributor’s customer.
