The Z+ programmable power supplies have a choice of several digital interfaces. These include RS232, RS485, USB and as an option, LAN.

By pressing the front panel button REM, the interface, baud rate, address and the language can be selected. The power supply address defaults to 6, but can be set anywhere between 1 and 31. The baud rate can be as high as 57,600. The language can be set to either SCPI (standard commands for programmable instruments) or GEN, if the Z+ will be used with TDK-Lambda Genesys™ programmable power supplies in the same communication chain.
