The Z+ programmable power supply has an interlock function that can be used to enable or disable the output voltage by an external switch or relay. Two examples of this would be for an emergency shutdown switch, or to disable the output if a cabinet door was opened by an unauthorised person.

This video demonstrates how the interlock can be enabled using the multi-function buttons and encoders on the front panel. When set, the red protection LED (PROT) will blink, and the output remain off until the interlock connection is made on the rear panel J3 connector.
