What are the key features of the PH-A series of DC-DC power modules?

Posted by Martin on May 7, 2020

The PH-A series of DC-DC converters operates from a wide range 200 to 425 inputs making it ideal for data communications, power transmission and renewable energy applications utilising a High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) input. Available in multiple power levels from 50 to 600W, the modules cover 3.3V to 48V outputs that can be adjusted using the trim terminal by up to -60% to +20%.

The high efficiency units, up to 93%, can provide full load with -40°C to +100°C baseplate temperatures and can be conduction cooled to a cold plate or mounted with an optional heatsink for convection cooling. All models in the PH-A series have a five-year warranty, remote sense and remote on/off, as well as over-current and over-voltage protection.

The series is fully isolated with an input to output isolation of 3,000Vac and is safety certified to IEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1 with CE marking for the Low Voltage and RoHS Directives. Additionally, the 300W and 600W models are certified to IEC/EN 62477-1 (Over Voltage Category III) for fixed installations, such as industrial robots, with a permanent connection to a distribution panel, avoiding the requirement of an isolation transformer.
