Automotive test systems use twelve programmable power supply models
More automobile functions are now controlled by complex electronics, requiring intensive testing for reliable operation. As a vehicle’s battery voltage can vary significantly from cold start to full charge, programmable power supplies are used to test assemblies under all input conditions.
Requiring a large number of power levels and output voltages, an ATE (automated test equipment) developer for large automotive test systems chose 12 models from the Genesys™ programmable power supply series.
The IEEE interface option was ordered as the ATE systems utilised an IEEE-488 bus. All models in the Genesys™ series have identical front / rear panel analogue and digital interfaces, simplifying integration.
