As factories move towards Industry 4.0, they become more complex to manage. Manufacturers are looking to third parties to handle installation, training, calibration and equipment servicing. These companies provide the software and hardware that is needed to manage the services they provide.

TDK-Lambda was approached by one such company that specialises in metrology – the science of measurement. They needed a 20W dual 12V output DC-DC converter capable of accepting a nominal 24V input for a new portable battery operated test device.  The board mountable, 25mm x 50mm footprint, PXD20-24D12 was suggested by the local salesperson and designed in by the customer.
