TDK Corporation is pleased to announce that its power supply design and manufacturing facility in Ilfracombe, North Devon is supporting budding engineers by sponsoring an award at the Big Bang South West Regional Fair. The event, which will be held on 25th June at the Exeter Westpoint Arena, celebrates science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) and aims to inspire and educate students about the career possibilities with STEM qualifications.

TDK-Lambda will sponsor an award for the most innovative STEM project. The company will also attend the fair, showcasing the innovations manufactured at its facility through a series of demonstrations.

“TDK-Lambda is an enthusiastic supporter of STEM related programmes and Big Bang South West is a great opportunity for us to engage with local students to show how the STEM subjects translate into real-life applications in the electronics industry,” said Anne Sutton, Training and Development Officer at TDK-Lambda UK. “Taking part in STEM activities also gives our own trainee engineers and apprentices a chance to pass on their knowledge and experience to students who, in turn, get valuable peer insight into what a career in STEM can entail.”
