Why do QM power supply modules have a narrow output voltage adjustment range?

Posted by Dulcie on January 11, 2019

By offering a narrow output voltage adjustment on our QM power supply modules, we have optimised its design for both cost and efficiency.

For example, consider a single 120W wide adjustment range module covering 5V to 28V at a maximum of 5A. At 5V output, this is only 25W and the customer has to use a 120W modules, which is almost 5x too much power. The QM series solves this by offering a selection of optimised modules at various output voltages and powers.
