What makes the QM7 medical power supply range so quiet?
A number of design features help make the QM7 operate quietly, improving the user and patient experience of the medical system.
With efficiency levels of up to 91%, less heat is generated within the system – less heat reduces the airflow required for cooling, enabling a lower speed and quieter fan to be used. In addition, large diameter fans rotate slower for a given airflow than small fans and hence, again, operate more quietly. Also, by eliminating sharp edges near the fan blade, the audible noise level is reduced further.
As the variable speed fans on the QM7 are controlled depending on the inlet temperature, the optimum amount of cooling is always available with the minimal amount of audible noise.
