Personalising radiotherapy cancer treatment delivers better results as the exact required dose can be placed accurately using shaped beams of radiation. Using high definition radiosurgery, liver, lung, brain and spinal conditions can have precise radiotherapy treatments using oncology systems that reduce side effects and limit normal radiation exposure.

TDK-Lambda’s sales team was approached by the design team working on a new oncology system. A number of variable voltages and power levels were required and the Genesys™ programmable power supply series was suggested and chosen for the application. The output voltages ranged from 0-20V up to 0-100V with the capability to deliver 750W to 3300W in 1U and 2U high racks. All Genesys™ power supplies have standardised programming making it easy to control the output voltages and currents through the RS-232/RS-485 interface.
