Magnetic Resonance Therapy (MRT) is a relatively new technique being used to treat cartilage, ligaments and tendons to reduce joint pain and reduce pain associated with arthritis. Magnetic fields strengthen and rejuvenate tissue without the need for surgery. As patient preparation is time consuming, wheeled tables are used allowing the machine to treat one patient while another readied.

Requiring multiple outputs in a confined space, the designers of such a table approached TDK-Lambda’s sales team about a possible Power+ Solutions program. Two QM5 modular units were mounted inside a compact plug-in enclosure to provide a complete turn-key power supply, including all the necessary wiring to cut systems cost and assembly time.
