Home healthcare is increasingly used to provide quality treatment outside of hospitals and medical centres. Tests have proven that dialysis procedures are more effective at home as the patient is more relaxed and the treatment can be delivered at lower doses for longer periods.

A large medical device manufacturer is now using TDK-Lambda’s XMS500 500W supply to provide power to a new dialysis unit. To reduce the customer’s cost and time to market, the Power+ Solutions engineering team developed a custom enclosure, which included special fuse protection, connectors and a small fan for cooling. The rapid delivery configurable XMS series has a wide range of options, including Class II (no earth ground) construction, requires minimal airflow and has full medical safety certifications.
