An Uninterruptible Power Supply provides emergency power for electrical equipment in the event of a utility mains failure. They are typically used to keep data centres, communication equipment and fire/burglar alarm systems running during an unexpected power disruption this avoiding a serious business disruption or vulnerability.

Requiring an isolated 24V 200W power supply that could operate from an 110Vdc nominal input, a UPS company was considering designing its own product. The /T option allows the converter to be mounted to a cold plate for cooling purposes.
