TDK-Lambda will be exhibiting at the Coventry Engineering Design Show (EDS) during October 19 – 20th, 2016. On the K30 stand will be TDK-Lambda’s new QM7 1500W modular AC-DC power supplies, providing Engineers an opportunity to see this innovative product for the very first time. Also on the stand will be the recently released CUS-M series of 200W to 420W medical and industrial power supplies and the triple output CUT75.
The QM7 is the first 1200-1500W series of modular supplies to have full MoPPs isolation, making them suitable for BF rated equipment. The high efficiency modular power supplies also offer the lowest acoustical noise available on the market at this power level. This makes them ideally suited for a wide range of medical equipment, test and measurement, broadcast, communications and renewal applications where loud audible noise cannot be tolerated. The series can provide up to 16 outputs with voltages ranging from 2.8V to 52.8V and currents up to 110A, utilising a number of modules delivering power levels of 35W to 1200W. The seven-year warranty is also industry leading.
Packaged in a compact 176 x 63.3 x 270mm size, the entire unit or individual outputs can be remotely turned on or off, and DC Good and/or AC fail signals can provide product status. 5V or 12V standby outputs are available as an option.
The CUS200M and CUS350M series also have both IEC 60950-1 and 60601-1 safety certifications. The 200-250W models are packaged in the industry standard 76.2 x 127mm (3 x 5”) footprint and the 350-420W in a compact 190 x 87mm (7.5 x 3.4”) size. Both offer convection and forced air cooled ratings, standby outputs and remote on/off. Like the QM7, they have full MoPPs isolation and are suited for BF rated equipment.
Unusual for a low power multiple-output power supply, the 75W rated convection-cooled CUT75 requires no minimum loading to maintain output regulation. The triple output unit is available with 5V +/-12V or 5V +/-15V outputs, and due to being isolated from the main output, the +/- auxiliary outputs can be configured as single 24V or 30V output. The CUT is also packaged in the industry standard 76.2 x 127mm (3 x 5”) footprint, and is only 27mm tall.
