Improving the efficiency of photovoltaic cells, batteries for energy storage and inverters is a vital step in the generation and use of renewable energy. The use of nanotechnology has made ion implantation a key factor in the development and manufacture of materials, enhancing the return on investment by producing more energy from each installation.

Multiple TDK-Lambda Genesys™ programmable power supplies, fitted with the isolated analogue voltage programming option, are now being used in such ion implanters. The reliability of the Genesys™ series was one of the reasons for selection as any interruption during semiconductor fabrication can cause costly scrap. The four different models were also modified for the customer to suit their ion implantation process.
