Test benches for satellite production
Satellites and their internal components must be tested at great lengths, under many harsh environmental conditions, to ensure reliability after launch. If testing is interrupted for any reason, often the whole process has to be restarted from the beginning, wasting time and potentially causing expensive delays to satellite launch schedules.
One major European manufacturer of satellites had prior experience of the reliability provided by TDK-Lambda’s Genesys™ programmable power supplies. That product knowledge was enough to convince the customer to continue to use the series for a new programme. The cost effective GEN40-19/LAN model is now being used, providing 0-40V at up to 19A. The optional LAN interface was ordered to provide remote programing and monitoring.
