Satellites are put through highly intensive testing to ensure reliable performance once they are deployed in space. Power supplies used for this testing also have to be reliable as system tests are often very lengthy, and test equipment failure may mean a test has to be re-run. A resulting delay in the satellite launch schedule can cost millions. TDK-Lambda’s Z+ programmable products and DRB and DRF fixed output DIN rail power supplies were selected for a test bench, not just for their reliability, but for the product knowledge that was provided by the TDK-Lambda team.
