Hardware in the loop (HIL) simulation is used for developing and testing of control systems used for the operation of complex machines. Physical parts are replaced by a simulator to enhance rigorous testing. TDK-Lambda’s Power + Solutions team was called upon by one simulator manufacturer, who desired a TDK-Lambda’s EFE400M power supply mounted in a custom enclosure. A special 19” rack was developed with a paint finish that matched other components in the system.
