How does reduced dissipated power facilitate integration of PH-A DC-DC High Density Power Modules?

The amount of dissipated heat affects the size of the heatsink needed to cool a power module. TDK-Lambda shows how the more efficient PH-A converters require a smaller heatsink than the previous generation PH series in this new video. These include an efficiency increase of 3-5%, size and weight reduction of 40-65%, an improved operating temperature and input voltage range and a 5 year warranty over the previous generation of products.
