Chromatography Detection Equipment
In biochemistry and analytical chemistry laboratories, chromatography equipment helps to identify, quantify and purify the individual components of a liquid mixture – once separated, a chromatography detector is used to visualise each component.
Often a UV-based detection technique is used as most complex molecules include at least one UV absorbing bond. However, for molecules with no or weak UV chromospheres (i.e. group of colour-producing atoms) an Evaporative Light Scattering (ELS) detector can be used as it does not rely on optical absorption.
TDK-Lambda’s NV-Power Configurable AC-DC power supply is now being used in this type of detection equipment – the NV-Power Configurator was used to provide a configuration that offered the optimum power supply solution for the manufacturer with fully approved samples available on short lead times.
