A new exhibition at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) opened its doors (5th December 2011) showcasing the best of British Electronics. Running for two weeks, TDK-Lambda UK’s EFE400M digitally-controlled medical power supply will be on display alongside products from other leading UK manufacturers. During the event Mark Prisk MP, Minister of State for Business and Enterprise, will survey all of the products on display.

“As the pioneer in the use of digital control in our industrial and medical power supplies – the EFE range is more efficient, smaller, cooler and more feature rich, consistent with the demand for environmentally-friendly products,” explains Martin Southam, Director of Marketing at TDK-Lambda EMEA.

Designed and developed in the UK, the EFE design team was recognised for its pioneering work in 2010 with a TDK President’s Technology award – the first time such an award has been given to a TDK Group company outside of Japan. The EFE is now being successfully manufactured in the UK, China and Japan, with sales to major OEMs worldwide.

In 2011, TDK-Lambda UK was recognised for the innovative design work carried out for the EFE400M medical power supply and shortlisted for the British Engineering Excellence Awards (BEEA) and Elektra European Electronics Industry Awards.
