In order to handle all the necessary signal searching, radio monitoring, radio detection/reconnaissance and spectrum monitoring tasks in line with ITU recommendations, a Wideband Receiver must be small and light to enable mobile applications. Because of this, the equipment manufacturer selected TDK-Lambda’s EFE400M AC-DC power supply, which uses digital power conversion techniques to reduce parts count and achieve high efficiency, resulting in a lightweight, high power density product. The EFE400M is also approved for operation at up to 4000m altitude, which was another key requirement.
