As aircraft design moves to using the MEA/AEA (More Electronics/All Electronics Aircraft) concept, where traditional hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems are being replaced with lighter and more power efficient electronics systems, flight simulation is essential for testing and pilot training. For a new flight simulator the FPS Series power supply from TDK-Lambda was selected – a strong relationship backed up with a proven track record with the manufacturer were important criteria for the project.
