Hardware in the Loop (HIL) enables manufacturers to thoroughly test complex systems where signals from a controller, for example, are applied to a software simulator. This dramatically reduces the amount of test time needed to run thousands of tests compared to performing actual physical testing.<\/span><\/p>\n

A manufacturer of HIL systems required 750W and 1500W programmable power supplies capable of operating up to 30V for a new development. The products had to be remotely controlled using a LAN interface. TDK-Lambda suggested the <\/span>GEN30-25-LAN<\/span><\/a> and the <\/span>GEN30-50-LAN<\/span><\/a> models which were selected for the program.<\/span><\/p>\n

The chosen models are 1U in height, have a<\/span> five-year warranty, and have built-in RS-232\/RS-485 interfaces. All models in the GENESYS\u2122 series share common programming functions, allowing for future upgrades if required. The advanced parallel function can report the total current of up to four units.<\/span><\/p>\n
