The heat used to melt substances is generated within the furnace using magnetic fields rather than an external heat source, which can lead to contamination.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A new furnace design required programmable power supplies capable of providing 0 to 30V with power levels of 10kW and 15kW. The development team contacted TDK-Lambda\u2019s sales team, who suggested two models from the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.uk.tdk-lambda.com\/uk\/category\/products\/genesysplus\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">GENESYS+\u2122<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> series.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The first was the 2U high GSP30-340-3P400, which can deliver 10200W, with currents up to 340A and the second, the 15300W rated 3U GSP30-510-3P400 model with current levels up to 510A. Both models accept a three-phase input of 342 to 460Vac. A parallel rack kit was also purchased to put two power supplies in parallel for additional power.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">All the models in the five-year warranty <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.emea.lambda.tdk.com\/genesysplus\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">GENESYS+\u2122<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> series share common programming functions, with built-in LAN, USB, remote isolated analogue and RS-232\/RS-485 interfaces for remote operation.
