Laser diode lifetimes are now estimated at 100,000 hours and can cut materials at speeds that is now measured in metres per second.<\/p>\n<p>To avoid contaminants being drawn in by fan cooled power supplies, a manufacturer of laser cutting machines wanted a conduction or convection cooled solution.  TDK-Lambda\u2019s sales team offered the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emea.lambda.tdk.com\/uk\/cpfei\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CPFE1000FI 48V model, which derives its cooling through the use of a cold plate<\/a>.
