Will all the units perform that well? Yes, one could hope that they will, or a request could be made that the manufacturer guaran-tees the actual measured limits.<\/p>\n<p>A product review was recently held on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emea.lambda.tdk.com\/uk\/genesys\" target=\"_blank\"> TDK-Lambda\u2019s Genesys\u2122 750W to 5kW series of programmable power supplies <\/a>. After analysis of the circuit and components, backed by historical test data, it was decided to publish a more stringent specification.  <\/p>\n<p>Temperature co-efficient and stability, programming, read back and display accuracy along with programming resolution specifications were all tightened. The stated accuracy of the voltage display, for example, is improved by a factor of 10.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.uk.tdk-lambda.com\/uk\/files\/2015\/02\/Untitled-1-copy.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.uk.tdk-lambda.com\/uk\/files\/2015\/02\/Untitled-1-copy-300x228.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"228\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2609\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tdklambdablog.wpenginepowered.com\/uk\/files\/2015\/02\/Untitled-1-copy-300x228.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tdklambdablog.wpenginepowered.com\/uk\/files\/2015\/02\/Untitled-1-copy.jpg 605w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Customers can now fully utilise the superior performance of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emea.lambda.tdk.com\/uk\/genesys\" target=\"_blank\"> Genesys\u2122 programmable power supplies <\/a>, knowing that it is backed by a published specification.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Having product performance significantly better than the published specification seems like a very good idea, as it demonstrates the conservative ratings of the product.
