TDK Corporation announces the extension of its TDK-Lambda HFE1600 range of 1.6kW high-density, front end power supplies with the addition of the dual output rack HFE1600-D1U. Offering more flexibility, this four slot (two isolated pairs) rack provides a choice of two different output voltages (12, 24, 32 or 48V) within the same 1U (19”) rack space.

The dual rack model can house up to two modules on each side or can be used with just one each side. In addition, the two sides can be linked up in series to achieve a higher voltage; for example, a 48V unit, with each side trimmed up to 50V, can achieve a 100V output. Control and monitoring signals for each side are isolated from each other.

As with other models in the HFE1600 range, the HFE1600 dual rack front end power supply complies with EN55022 and FCC Class A radiated and Class B conducted emissions and meets IEC61000-4 immunity. All models are safety approved to EN/IEC/UL 60950-1 edition 2 with CE mark to the Low Voltage (LV) Directive and RoHS Directive, and are backed by a three-year warranty.
